Thumbs up Pajama Party Stories

My favorite "PJ Party" Story takes place at my cottage in the North Gatineau Hills. Six of my closest friends headed up to the lake and had the best PJ party that I've ever attended. During the day we went boating, did some sunbathing, yoga and meditation in a setting that is near perfection. In the evening we drank wine, laughed and built stronger life lasting relationships. In the last half hour of our stay, one of my most dear friends almost burned the cottage down as she BBQ'd our chicken and set it on fire. After recovering from the shock of many pans of water and a melted plastic shelf beside our BBQ we broke out into giggles mostly out of relief. I still tease her to this day but most of all I am happy for the memories.

Talking Favorite PJ Party Story

OK, I'm going way back here but my favorite story is when I was about 12 years old and I went to a pj party with about 10 other girls. We were told to dress up in a Grease outfit which is somehow still so popular today. Just about everyone dressed up as Sandra Dee including me. We sang every word to every song on the album which was actually a record album because this was around 1979ish and we stayed up really late. I distinctly remember my sides and cheeks hurting the next day from laughing so much.

Thumbs up PJ Party Story

Leslie the Weekend at your cottage was one of my favourites too!!!!
I also have an annual tradition where my sisters and some of my closests friends get together and spend the weekend doing our last minute Christmas shopping. Every year we end up closing Winners on Friday night, usually shopping for ourselves to get us into the swing of it lol!! We come back to my best friends house in Orleans who has prepared a beautiful candlelight dinner for us, and we dine in our favourite pj's!! Dinner involves wine, and laughter and sometimes tears too as as we get caught up on what is going on in our busy lives. Off to bed we go with our assigned roommates ensuring that everyone has a goodnight sleep and the snorers are strategically located in the house so as not to wake the others!!! (That would be me) Saturday we buddy up and focus on checking off our lists and literally shop till we drop. Another candlelight pj dinner and of course more wine and a show and tell of all of the beautiful gifts that we have purchased for our family, friends and of course ourselves too By Sunday morning we are rejuvenated, reconnected and our lifelong bond is strengthened. I can't wait for this years Christmas pj party

Default Sister and Friends PJ Party

Growing up my sister and I were one year apart. We were also friends with two sisters who were 1 year apart. Every month all four of us would get together and sleep over at either our house or their house. It was always better at their house because they had a pool and we got to play out in the back fields have a camp fire and stay up all night. The only part I didn't like was that they had a cat and he would always find my bed and curl up for the night. PJ Party are always fun at no matter what age..I'm looking forward to the up and coming PJ Party where Goddessnet.com will be launched. Girls just want to have FUN.....

Default PJ Party Story

I had so much fun at the last PJ party I went to.
We all shared beauty secret tips, laughed ( alot) ate and drank.
We all had to bring a picture of our teenage crush or present crush of someone famous sealed in an envelope. The pictures were posted on the wall and we had to match the picture with who brought it.
Now, I did not know all the girls at this party, and surprisingly I got most of them right. And yes David Cassidy was on the wall. LOL

Default Good Times -keep on coming!

I have to say my favourite sleepover continues to be an annual December event that I host for a group of close girlfriends. The tradition started in 2000 with 4 friends that had helped me through a particularly sad time in my life. I was very grateful for their love and support and was searching for some means to thank them. They were all moms with young children who needed a break during the most hectic month of the year – December! What started out as a relaxing weekend with good food, wine and Christmas shopping has turned into a much anticipated and crowded event! The original 4 spread the word and over the years have lobbied for invites to be extended to other friends, neighbours and relations. The guest list has more than doubled and the laughs have quadrupled (conservative estimate). My favourite memories include: Deb modeling her purchases - new boots and sexy black bra over top of her best flannels; and the look on Tricia’s face when it is announced that Winners is closing in 5 minutes! Cheers to another memorable sleep over this December girls!

Default PJ Party at the Cottage

Many moons ago, back in the mid-seventies, eight high school girlfriends got together and decided to have a weekend PJ party at the cottage in July to celebrate. The weather was great. The moon was shining. We all had brought some booze and of course some good food. It was great. We were all young, foolish and full of pee and vinegar. We played cards. We went through magazines and hung photos of our favorite dreamboats on the wall. We had a nice BBQ. We got into a 'truth or dare' type game. All in the spirit of craziness and having fun. We crashed a square dance that was happening in Ompah (about 2 kms from the cottage). We all went in our PJs. We had a few dances with the hillbillies and then left to go back to the cottage. Of course, we had more wine that we should have and at midnight, someone had the idea that it would be fun to go swimming (it turned into skinny-dipping). I was way too shy for that and I didn't have the guts to strip down so I went swimming in my PJs. We had a ton of fun. I have kept in touch with some of them. I wonder what those girlfriends are doing today. Telling this story, triggered me to re-connect with my girlfriends and touch base to see how they are doing. Girlfriends are great and I will always cherish them. Thank you for the opportunity to go back into some very special memories. Michele Bourque, TAB Custom-Fitted Bras (Ottawa).

Default Semi annual Girls cottage weekend at Rainbow Retreat

My 5 closest friends and I get together every February and Septamber to take time for ourselves at my cottage. During one of our more memorable weekends, we figured out a novel way to give ourselves a foot spa. We converted 2 drink coolers into spa tubs, and in our favourite PJs, we all soked our tender toes at the same time! Of couse, we were also sipping our favourite vodka coolers...while the chocolate fountain and fruit dips awaited our attention on the table. Our next PJ party in February will be another one for the memory books....we will be sipping our toddies with our penis straws!

Default Heading off to Grad School

I was leaving the city I loved (by Greyhound, no less) to spend 2 to 3 years in Saskatchewan while I pursued my Masters. The night before I was due to leave, my room-mates (all guys) organized a surprise all-night pj party on my behalf. About 20 friends, male and female, showed up, all in their sleeping gear and I stayed up all night talking with the people who were, effectively, my extended family. It was a wonderful night and, as the bus pulled out at 7.15 from the Vancouver bus depot, there was a row of people in pajamas holding up roughly lettered "Goodbye Karen" signs.

One of the indications of how we are moving through life is the quality of friends we have. I feel blessed in mine.

Default I had a ball at last week's PJ party!

I thought the cake was amazing, I couldn't believe how many women jumped up and tried the pole dancing (even Mary!), and I loved the diversity of ages, occupations and types of women in attendence. I'm still thinking I should break down and buy the expensive bra, it actually made me look like I wasn't going to poke someone's knee out. Loved the lush girls (did I already mention the cake?) and was so happy to be there. Hope to see you at the hormone and libido event. I want to stay youthful, healthy and sexy until we are in our 90's. Well done, a great event!
