Default 90 Day Challenge Day 20

There is something really magical that hits when you go from the 10's to the 20's as you are counting down. The goal seems somehow so much closer even if it is only a day closer since yesterday. I had an excellent sleep last night and happy to report that the bed bugs didn't bite. Tonight I am in Antwerp and staying at a beautiful hotel with lots of room to work out. So I did my Yoga X workout and feel stronger, more flexible and at somehow at peace.

If you are just joining the blog and starting to workout yourself it may seem like it is a lot of work but I can tell you at this point I felt absolutely incredible after I finished my workout. I actually left dinner early tonight so I could do my yoga - well relatively speaking it was 9:45. But I didn't for a moment consider missing it.

So hang in there because you are going to love how exhilerating you will feel when you get to Day 20!

I have been meeting with lots of people from various cultures and companies and I love that regardless of where people come from at the core they are the same. Sometimes we don't recognize that all people are people and we create a distant or invisible barrier between us because we think they are different.

Do you know that we are all interconnected and the it is our energy that attracts or repels us to each other. As you become healthier and happier the energy that you emit will draw you closer to some incredible people. The energy that you emit will radiate out and touch others bringing them strength joy and love without effort.

How incredible is that!

Default 90 Day Challenge Day 21

Today is day 21 and I can honestly say that it never once crossed my mind not to work out today. I am not dealing with the internal self sabotaging dialogue which is quite amazing considering I didn't get home from dinner till about 11pm tonight. It's amazing how dinner in Europe is such an experience and oh soooo delicious. But when I can back to the hotel I changed immediately and did my Cardio X with my new friend Tony Horton. I was very full when I got home but feel much better now and expect that I will sleep a lot better now too.

So only 21 days into the program and the internal resistance is significantly reduced. I really feel like I am making progress in terms of establishing my habit at a sub-conscious level.

The lesson for today is to become aware of your thoughts.

Have you ever observed what you have been telling yourself? Are you beating yourself up for what you didn't do in a day? Or are you celebrating what you did do?

Do you look in the mirror and say "wow I look amazing" or do you tell yourself "I look terrible today - I need to lose weight"

What is important to understand is that whatever we are telling ourselves we will believe and we will live into. When we tell ourselves a lie over and over again our subconscious doesn't know it is a lie. So it is reinforced and becomes what we believe about ourself.

So what do you need to believe in order for you to be successful in achieving your goal? Once you answer this question then it is critical that you monitor your thougths to ensure that they are aligned with this. Create affirmations that will support your thinking and should you catch yourself in negative self talk, stop yourself and replace those thoughts with your affirmations.

My affirmation is "I have a lean and healthy body" What is yours?

Default 90 Day Challenge Day 22

Hi folks,

Well it is my last night in Belgium and I opted to forego a delicious dinner to stick to my program!! But I am glad I did. Tonight was my ab ripper X routine and was a gentle reminder why I am glad that I am following this program. This routine was probably the most difficult for me to do at first but I was able to finish it tonight.

Slow but steady wins the race.

Sometimes we don't realize the progress that we are making as we chip away at achieving our goals. That is why it is important to measure our progress. I remember being at a weight loss seminar some time ago, and they were celebrating the successes of some of the members. One of the ladies stood up and announced that she had lost 1.5 pounds that week. I thought wow...big deal, but then she proceeded to say that her total loss was 110 pounds!! She had been losing 1.5 pounds or so every week for about a year.

What are you doing everyday in support of achieving your goal? Are you measuring your progress? And if so are you celebrating as you hit key milestones?

Tonight I will celebrate in Antwerp because I was able to complete the entire Ab Ripper X routine. How will you celebrate your success?

Default 90 Day Challenge Day 23

I know I am a little late posting Day 23 but I hope you will forgive me cuz I was in transit yesterday and spent 14 hours travelling. My exercise included running from gate to gate to get to my flights. I had hoped that my weight training would be carrying around my carry on luggage, but to my surprise I was only allowed one bag which included my purse. Good news is that everything made it home without any damage, including my 2 laptops.

I focused my attention on my mental actions associated with achieving my goal yesterday. I wrote in my gratitude journal for what seemed to be an infinite amount of time which ended up being about 6 pages. Afterward I was in an incredible vibration and could feel my heart glowing with love and appreciation for the amazing life I am living and for the amazing people that I have met and that I am honored to call my friends.

I was overwhelmed at the amount of energy it brought me to feel this way. Take some time today to write in your gratitude journal. Before you start writing, take stock of how your feel and then think about and write down all of the amazing experiences you have had in your life. Think about the places you have been, the people that are in your life, your job, your customers, your teachers, your students. Everything that you can think of that has brought you some amount of joy or growth or love. Once you have done that take stock of how you feel. Now write down everything that you want in your life, as if you already have it, including your health and your body, your financial status, relationship status- everything that you really want. But you must write it as if you already have it. Now take stock of how you feel. This is the vibrational level you need to be in to attract all that you want into your life. Make it a point to be in this vibrational space as much as you can and watch the miracles happen.

Have an incredible day!

Default 90 Day Challenge - Day 24

Down to the last stretch of the most difficult period the first 30 days. Some days it seems tougher to build the p90x program into my day and today is one of those days. It seems that I have been online working since I woke up this morning and my back is sore and my eyes are tired and my body is saying....go to bed. But I commit to you that I am heading downstairs to do my workout and I know that when I am done I will have let go all of the troubles of today and will sleep soundly.

Begin with the end in mind is my motto for today. A coined phrase from one of my earliest mentors Stephen Covey. I am focusing on how I will feel when I crawl into bed satisfied that I have met my commitment to you and to myself.

What does the end of the tunnel look like to you? Visualize it, believe it to be true and do the work that is required to get there, you won't regret it.

Default 90 Day Challenge - Day 25

It is Day 25 and I am only days away from establishing a new habit. It is incredible how fast the time has flown. In Tony's 90 day program, you have the option of taking every 7th day off or doing the extreme stretch. Up until this point I have opted to do the extreme stretch however today I will opt for a day off. With any kind of exercise it is important to give your body a rest, in fact if you were to work out everyday doing the same workout routine your body would become acclimatized to it and you would not achieve the results that you are looking for.

So don't feel like you are cheating or that you have fallen off the wagon, if every 7 days you honor yourself with a day of rest.

Have a great day!!

Default 90 Day Challenge - Day 26

Only 4 more days till I hit day 90 and I must say my inner chatter was trying very hard to sabotage my workout tonight. I had a long day, it was an excellent day but I was absolutely drained by the time I got home. I snuggled up with my daughter and watched TV which I never do and desperately wanted to crawl into bed after I tucked her and my son in. But then I got this email. It was from one of our clients who is in our body thoughts coaching group. She said that she had been reading my blog and it inspired her to commit to a 30 day challenge where she would commit to exercising everyday and would send an email out to the group when she had completed her work out. Her email absolutely inspired me to get my butt downstairs to my workout gym and get it done.

I just finished Cardio X and I feel exhausted but REALLY GOOD and very proud of myself for having completed it. Sometimes we do things and don't realize the lives that we are touching or the impact that we are making in other people's lives. Thank-you for sending the email it inspired me and helped me tonight to stay on track.
